BPA
All GEFU products are BPA-free, and for the few products where it is technically necessary during manufacturing, they are extensively tested by accredited testing laboratories and comply with all legal safety regulations.
What is BPA?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical used in the production of certain plastics. BPA can also be referred to as a plasticizer because it makes the material flexible, pliable, and stretchable.
Where is BPA found?
BPA can be found in various plastic products, on the inside of beverage and canned food containers, on tickets or receipts, in plastic tableware, paper and plastic cups, and even in CDs.
When is BPA harmful?
BPA becomes a health concern when the plastic containing it is heated. Heating can cause BPA to leach out and be transferred to the food or beverage it comes into contact with.
