Applesauce

Applesauce

Source: https://www.gefu.com/rcp_recipe/applesauce
Total time:
35 Minutes

Ingredients

1 Stück Lemon
6 Stück Apple
60 g Cane sugar
200 ml Direct apple juice
TL Cinnamon

Preparation

Squeeze the lemon using the citrus press LEMON PRO. Peel, core, and dice 6-7 apples (a mix of mealy and firm varieties). While dicing, periodically pour lemon juice over the apples and stir to prevent browning.

In a tall pot, combine the apple cubes, 60g of raw cane sugar, 200ml of apple juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir and bring to a boil. After about 5-6 minutes, if desired, lightly mash some of the apple pieces to achieve a creamy consistency. Let it simmer for a few more minutes.

Fill sterilized jars with the applesauce and seal them with lids, rings, and clamps. Place the jars in a boiling pot for 20 minutes (timing from when the water reaches a rolling boil!) or in a canning machine at 90 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. As always, remove the clamps only when the jars are completely cooled down!
